As a veterinarian, I am truly living a life-long dream. My passion for veterinary medicine started from having a close relationship with my dad, who is an avid horseman and dog lover. I grew up with an assortment of both large and small critters and always preferred either being in a barn or reading about animals. Needless to say, being a veterinarian is all I’ve ever wanted to do. If you met me at age 12, you probably would have found it difficult to convince me that I wasn’t already a veterinarian, horse trainer, hamster whisperer, dog breeder, and cat psychologist all in one.

Fast-forward a few years and I received one of the greatest opportunities of my life, which was to attend Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. While doing well in my studies, I also stayed active in student body leadership as the Government Affairs Coordinator and as president of the Student One Health Association. These experiences gave me the perspective that veterinary medicine is a gift that can change individual lives and society for the better. I continued pursuing this idea by studying abroad and helping to provide veterinary care in impoverished communities.

After graduating from Texas A&M, I knew I wanted to develop my veterinary skills as rapidly as possible and took a position as an associate veterinarian in a busy emergency hospital. This position shaped me as a doctor and as a leader through amazing mentorship and a welcomed increase in responsibility for some of the hospital’s operations. I am now beyond excited to join Bulverde Animal Hospital and serve the community of Bulverde, Texas. I have three amazing sons and an even more amazing wife, who are my world outside of veterinary medicine.
